This German Frers 36 is a 1967 classic sloop built in Argentina at the Astilleros Samiento yard Buenos Aires from the plans of German Frers. She has had 3 Atlantic crossings, the last being in 2007 when crossing from Argentina to Croatia Europe, where she is currently at berth.
Length 11.58 meters Beam 3-00 meters Draft 1.57 meters Displacement 9000kg Keel longkeel from Iron at around 3000kg Diesel capacity: 150 l Water capacity: 300 l Material South American Cedar (cedro) on South American oak (virara). Plus all frames are braced with bronze straps. Decking all teak decking including the coach roof (in very good conditiom). Steering tiller Engine 3GM 27 h.p yanmar (diesel)NEW IN 2006! All fittings are original. Her 6 winches are bronze with bronze handles, bronze turn buckles for the stays and 3 copper funnels on the coach roof. She has 2 anchors (bow and stern) 2 main sails,(oneil) 2 genoa sails(north sail) and a spinnikar (north sail). In the heads is a toilet and a marble wash basin with mirror. The galley has a 2 gas burner cooker with stainless steel wash basin and folding table. The chart table has a ice box built into it and at the chart table area, you have a VHF radio, J.R.C 1000 radar, autohelm autopilot, depth and speed along with a C.D radio player.
All electrics have been overhauled in May 2008 which included 3 new batteries and shore power connection. 2 covers, 1 being a full length sun cover and the other a winter jacket for the coach roof. Safety gear is a type E 4 man C.S.M life raft, 4 life jackets, flares and life ring. |
